No really further information on the shoes, but check out the glow in the dark croc-skins on these. The sole of the shoe also gives it a bit of a nice on the low flare. “Kool Bob Love” a.k.a. Bobbito Garcia has been with it with sneakers and street culture since day one. Among his list of lengthy accomplishments include voice overs for NBA Street, editors of various street culture/music magazines, as well as the writer of the 2003 sneaker literature, “Where’d You Get Those? NYC’s Sneaker Culture 1960-1987”. Having said that, Bobbito is no stranger to many things that influence and surround us. So it is very fitting for Nike to collaborate with the man himself in a series of AF1’s. This current one being the introduction for a few more to come. Looking at this sneaker, you will see a combination of Kool Bob Love’s great loves, DJing and basketball. These two themes can be seen on each heel through the form of two logo’s, one representing a basketball and another representing a vinyl. On the heel tab’s each sneaker has LOVE written on it, however each O is replaced by the aformentioned basketball and vinyl. Thanks to the folks from Nikeskateboarding.org, we have a sneak peek at what’s coming out from Nike SB for the Holiday 2007 line. The catalog pictures show the usual Nike SB lineup which consist of Dunks, Blazers, Team Editions, Tres, P-Rod 2’s and Harbors. There are some interesting colorways and concepts behind many of the shoes. They won’t be released until starting September so it will still be a while before you see these on the shelves. This June, Lakai will drop their “Quiet Life Collab” series, a collaboration with artistic project and design group Quiet Life. The Quiet Life, which is run by Lakai’s art director Andy Mueller produces two seasons of clothing a year, including special projects for Upper Playground’s 50-24 SF artist line and California based 2K by Gingham. Not many sneakers that Michael Jordan HASN’T worn on the court has escalated to the same success as the Air Jordan Spiz’ike (and the B’Loyal which is huge on the selling charts). But as long as they continue to sell, Jordan Brand will give the people what they want. It seems as though there has been a progression in colorways. Originally, many differing opinions existed with the white/red/green colorway, but slowly but surely each colorway has gotten progressively better reviews, and I don’t think these are any exception. After the success of the J-Rods, Nike is at it again with another Jordan inspired P-Rod SB release. This time they take Paul’s newest signature shoe, the P-Rod II SB and they have given it the Jordan III black/red cement treatment. The cement print position looks very similar to the Jordan III and the colors match as well. This sneaker looks like it’s going to be another sought after shoe, so be sure to keep your eyes open when these drop in Fall 2007. For Pro Bowl 2007 in Hawaii this year, Nike has produced an Air Force 1 Player Exclusive to celebrate this event. This Air Force 1 features Hawaiian style laser etching throughout the shoe, Pro Bowl 2007 written on the tongue, different texture leather on the back heel and a clear sole. One of the most anticipated releases from Jordan Brand this year is definitely the Air Jordan III and with the success of the Pure and Black Cat Jordan IV last year, they are putting the same magic on the Jordan III. One of the upcoming Nike Dunk High and Low SB set come from a interesting concept and inspiration. Here are photos of the Maneki Neko inspired Dunk set, Maneki Neko literally the Beckoning Cat is also known as the Lucky Cat, Money Cat or Welcoming Cat. It is a common Japanese sculputure made of ceramic and is believed to give good luck to it’s owner. It is put in stores, restaurants, businesses and more to help attract business, which after all means money. The high is done in a white with black, gold and orange colorway and says “feeling lucky?” on the tongue, where as the low is a cream, gold and orange colorway and says “get that money” on the tongue. For EA’s newest upcoming NBA Street Homecourt game which is set to release in stores on February 22nd, EA has teamed up with Jordan Brand to design a B’Loyal sneaker and only 100 pairs were made. The designs were done by the EA design team and 60 pairs can be won in an online contest beginning next week. New Balance will soon release this limited edition 480 Comic sneaker. The design of the shoe is inspired by the current revival of comic book super heroes in movies and in newer comics series. Other than the design, this new NB Comic 480 also contains Tyvek materials which feels like paper to enhance that comic book feel of the shoe. These sneakers will only be available through Foot Locker and Foot action and will launch this February 15 in Las Vegas as a limited release. Nike has a made an excellent and elegant Force Gold Legacy Pack which is limited and exclusive. This pack features an Air Force 1 Hi that showcases the Original Six scattered on a gold/white finished sneaker, an Air Force 25 in gold/white featuring the New Six designed with special graphics on the back panel and strap, a special Air Force 1 belt buckle and belt designed by the creator of the Air Force 1, Bruce Kilgore, an Air Force 25 buckle and belt designed by AF25 designer, Tracy Teague, custom cedar shoetrees, velvet shoe bags, and a special box design. Nike is all about innovation and they have always been experimenting with different possibilities of joining different sneaker models together or taking an existing sneaker and putting a twist on it to make it a newly inspired sneaker. The Nike Talaria has always been a classic running shoe and loved by many sneaker fans for it’s comfort and well choice of colors. Nike has now taken this classic running shoe and through their Innovation Kitchen, they developed and created the Talaria Chukka. They have created two colorways, one in white premium leather with laser etching and the other featuring black as its base color with other bright colors to that give it the Talaira look, this shoe also has laser etching. The white version is a hand-crafted sample that designer Tom Luedecke created and unfortunately this model will not be produced nor sold. Nike has created a set of Air Force 25 East and West Coast for this weekends NBA All Star Weekend. The East Coast colorway is done with an all white upper featuring a metallic silver swoosh and a silver glitter sole. New Balance has recently released two limited edition 574 named Shogun and Red Dragon. The Shogun version features different tones of wheat and camel and graphics of a field of trees and leaves.
