1905 until 1992
Quick was founded in 1905 in the Netherlands as a manufacturer of sporting shoes. Quick produced shoes and clothing for all kinds of sports, but was most famous for it's soccershoes. The brand reached it's peak in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. From the sixties on, Quick also produced sneakers. The sneakers had two blockstripes on the side. In the eighties, Quick lost position due to the competition of foreign brands. In 1992 the company stopped production.
2001 until now
In 2001, Quick was successfully re-launched. Because many of the new models are based on the original models from before 1992, Quick can be called a retro-lifestyle-brand. By now, most shoes exept the soccershoes, are fashionshoes instead of functional sporting shoes. In 2005, Quick celebrated it's 100-years anniversary, and published a book on the history of the brand.
