MINMI x Nike Air Force One

From Solepedia.com - Online Sneaker Encyclopedia

Info

Japanese Reggae/Hip-Hop artist MINMI collaborated with Nike Japan on both an Air Force 1 and a Court Force High. Freshness says:

[The Air Force 1] features Wave inspired imprints on the leather uppers. 2 kanji (Chinese characters) stitched on both sides of the heel. They represent Crane and Turtle. Both are symbols of longevity, which MINMI feels best fit for her concept of Japanese culture. [The Court Force High] pays homage to the source of Reggae, the island nation of Jamaica. It incorporates the essences of Jamaica: Jamaicas national flower Lignum Vitae and the national bird Dr. Bird (swallow-tail humming bird). A monogram imprint of the Moon, which symbolizes femininity in Japanese culture, can be seen on the leather upper.
