Tinker Hatfield is the renowned designer of many of Nike's most popular and innovative designs, including the Air Jordan III to the XV, among great numbers of other athletic sneakers and the world's first "cross training" shoes - the Nike Air Trainer.
Hatfield is an athlete whose formal training was architecture who realized early on that his skills could also be applied to athletic shoes. He claims to have designed the cross-trainer as a "multi-sport" shoe when he realized that people at his Oregon gym carried various sneakers with them for their workout activities such as playing basketball, aerobics, lifting weights and jogging.
Tinker designed alot of the Air Jordan shoes. He designed these P-Rods as well for the designer series. The style was inspired form the air jordan three which has the elephant print.
