According to the designer, Nike will not put any sample shoe into production if it cannot be put in a washing machine and survive (don't be stupid and throw your "Tiffany" Dunks in the wash to test this out). They didn't pass that test, and Nike passed on putting them into production. They were supposed to be released with the "Hunter" dunk.
