The Asics Hyper LDis basically the best track shoe that money can buy, and are also reasonably priced at around $50. They come in a variety of colors and are a bestseller for Asics. I save mine solely for track meets and they make me feel superhuman.
General Information
ASICS is an athletic shoe company that started in 1949 when Kihachiro Onitsuka began manufacturing basketball shoes at his home in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Asics produces shoes designed for running, wrestling, track & field, volleyball, and cheer among other sports. Asics shoes were introduced into The United States in 1977.
The company name ASICS is an acronym for the Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano" which translates into English as "a smart mind in a smart body". This is a variation on "mens sana in corpore sano".
